Myah Veld
Myah started making mats when she was 13. She made a prototype jig and eventually it lead her to creating her first ever mat. After that, her father helped her make a permanent jig that she has been using ever since. She started selling the mats at Artisans On Main the next summer when she was 14. Along with the mats, she also makes monkey fists. She continues to try and create different things with rope as she gains experience. All of her rope pieces are made from recycled fishing rope that can no longer be used by local fisherman.
